Let us take advantage of the principle of subsidiarity.

Well-ordered charity...

If Olivier Dubois freelance journalist is of French nationality, he is above all a member of the community of Afro-descendants and does not intervene in inter-governmental political relations.

Olivier is from the Caribbean, a place where Pan-Africanism emerged thanks to renowned personalities such as Marcus Garvey, Léon-Gontran Damas and Frantz Fanon, who were succeeded on the African continent by: Kwame Nkrumah, Julius Nyerere and many others defenders.

Abducted in Gao on April 8, 2021, Olivier Dubois is still being held in Mali. His companion Déborah Al Hawi Al Masri and their children, their family, their friends with some of his colleagues are mobilizing on their side.

Furthermore, we salute here the citizen actions organized to demand his release such as, among others, the demonstrations of support in Martinique/Caribbean where Olivier Dubois has his roots.

As we celebrate the International Decade for People of African Descent 2015-2024 declared by the UN, we, Afro-descendants and nationals of the African Diaspora, declare that the detention of Olivier Dubois must also mobilize the public opinion of our community and that of the African continent.

In the name of the ''principle of subsidiarity'' our community of Afro-descendants more concerned, under a non-governmental diplomatic initiative and in our respective capacities, let us appeal directly to whom it may concern for the release of Olivier Dubois.
